Responsible for stimulating participation and interest in hostelling and the HI-USA mission in the Southeast Region, by acting as a point of contact, organizer and direct provider of programming for individuals and groups. An exclusive, not-for-profit and private organization of creative and talented individuals motivated to organize and host dinner events fusing local art and local music with the talents of local chefs. Served at least one dinner per month with a different concept, chef and venue. Spotlighting the creative talent that is unique to Asheville in the Southern Appalachians with food, art and music combined in one experience The Blind Pig raises awareness and funds for local and very important charities with each dinner concept. In the spirit of adventure, menu and dinner location is kept secret to all ticket holders until the day of the event.

Music DirectorWisconsin Union Directorate 2006-2007
Recruited and chaired a committee of 50 regular volunteers and four Associate Directors who programmed six program series across five campus venues. Oversaw and negotiated contracts and sponsorship agreements, secured venues, wrote grants and press releases, and managed an annual budget of $122,232. Built and fostered strong working relationships with the community and student organizations, artists and arts agencies, and internal Union operating units. Programmed and facilitated the production and promotion of a diverse group of popular events, including the Madison Pop Fest, World Music Festival and the Isthmus Jazz Festival. Elected by peers as Union Council representative.

Forward Music Festival 2008-2009
City-wide music and arts festival created to celebrate the unique contributions of Midwestern and local Madison artists to the national music landscape. What started as a simple music festival headlined by reunited Madison heroes Killdozer quickly turned into a massive endeavor that spanned eleven venues and hosted more than 100 artists, including Neko Case, Mason Jennings, tUnE-YarDs, Dan Deacon, Leslie and the Lys, Flosstradamus, Monotonix, Bob Mould and showcases curated by the likes of legendary Midwest label Bloodshot Records. Nearly three quarters of the artists on the bill were local or regional. The following year carried similar stats, with the addition of new marquee venue Overture Center for the Arts which hosted headliner Andrew Bird in addition to Bob Mould, Low, Ra Ra Riot, Garaj Mahal, YACHT, Richard Buckner, Karl Denson’s Tiny Universe, Wavves, and Atlas Sound.
